Poetry and Song along the Grand Canal - Saturday September 21st

Approximately 50 people gathered on the banks of the Grand Canal in close proximity to
the Patrick Kavanagh statue to read verses from the poets and writers of the Baggotonia era.

These readings celebrated the works of Patrick Kavanagh, Brendan Behan, Samuel Beckett, John Montague and many more

Catherine Hallahan of 'Baggotonia Productions' also sang a wonderful rendition of 'On Raglan Road'
